My aligned sales approach for social entrepreneurs and purpose-driven business owners

If you’re at the stage in your business where you’re ready for more revenue and clients in a way that aligns to your social purpose and values, I wanted to share the backbone of my aligned sales approach to help you achieve exactly that.

There’s a process I go through with my clients to make this work and I feel its helpful to share this with you, so you can identify what might need focus so you feel in full alignment and confident in your ability to secure consistent clients through sales.

So here it is:

  1. Understand your values in terms of how you want to run and operate your business and why that’s important to you, without this its impossible to design a sales approach that is fully aligned

  2. Understand the beliefs you hold (helpful & unhelpful) about the world you operate in and the way you want to make money for your business. You can then explore how your values and beliefs are currently creating friction for you or holding you back from achieving your income and impact goals, and get support or take action on strengthening beliefs that are more supportive to your goals and the way you want to approach business.

  3. Decide how you really want to be working (it can be whichever way you want it to be but sometimes we need to unpack that a little), including what you want to be doing and who you want to be doing that with (aka what type of clients, surprisingly this can inform your marketing and sales approach a lot!)

  4. Decide on your goals - what do you actually want to achieve and why? What will motivate you? And why will you keep taking action even when you’re not having a “high vibe” day

  5. We’ll uncover how will you’ll support yourself through this period of change and growth

  6. Uncover who your ready-to-buy clients are, what you uniquely bring to them and clarify your message with a plan to attract them consistently

  7. Start selling and increase your confidence without ever compromising on your values or “faking it until you make it”…you can sell in a way that excites you, feels good and is in no way “salesy”

  8. Review and develop the structure and systems of you business so it supports you to operate in your full power, building trust in your process and approach so you stop doubting success is possible for you in a way that truly fulfils you
